Vito Bratta

Anybody know if he is doing anything in music these days?

I know alot of people wrote him off as just another 80's shredder, but he could really play. And the compositions of his lead work were great and full of emotion. He is one of the few guitarist that could actually sound "happy" or "joyful", not just all minor runs. One of his solos, either "Little Fighter" or "Wait" I can't remember which, is a great example of this.

Yum, Yum! Eat em up!

Forgot about him. One of the more tasteful lead players of that era with a pretty advanced two-handed tapping technique.

He hasn't shown up on Metal Sludge yet so I have no idea what he's up to.

I got this from a website called bmusic.com, under a column called "80's Metal Trivia";

What about White Lion's Vito Bratta, now that cat could play. Well, this is a sad one. In 1995 Bratta stopped playing guitar altogether to take a break from the instrument that had brought him so much success through the late '80's and early 90's. In 1997 he picked it back up again and starting playing Classical guitar 14 hours a day, not taking the time to stretch and build up his strength. One day, he felt something snap on the side of his wrist and he couldn't move his hand from left to right. After years now, thinking time would heal the injury, Bratta can't even bear the pain of touching a string. He is now contemplating surgery.

(shiver)What an awful thing to have happen. I really liked his playing too.

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

hey i read this link and i remembered completely the solos of wait and little fighter. he was a cool lead player and a good arranger. too bad the singer was kind of a panzy. You are right about the solo in little fighter and the over all composition. Tons of heart and soul. Reminiscient in a good way of old VH. He has a nice way of weaving between major and minor in that solo. You ask if he is doing anything now, I would bet my life he is..
