daddyelmis
Just heard this band on HBO's Bob Costas interview show, and they were fantastic. Three piece "texican" rock band -- sort of Santana influenced but with a style their own. And what freakin' guitar tone! On Costas, it looked like a twin or deluxe, and strat. Great tone. The album kicks and should be in the cd for tone junkies. Dak Lander
Yep, good stuff. Remind me alot of early Los Lobos in some ways. Sauce
yeah, these guys aren't bad at all, some of the guitar solos are pretty killer. on their website they described themselves as "a cross between Stevie Ray meets Santana, Jimi Hendrix meets Richie Valens, or the Beatles meet Ronnie Milsap." they played bonnaroo this year too, they have a full song on the bonnaroo website . at the bottom, center of the page thre is always three songs you can listen to for free, if you care and it's not there the first time just keep loading and you'll get it eventually but yeah, i'm definitely digging them. Then you'll never hear surf music again...
Mike Gug
The lead player plays a Mexican Strat. I think I read that it was a 60's-style. That is a SWEET sounding axe. Mikegug www.facebook.com/theresistancemusic
DC
We picked up their CD last week. Man, every listen they get better and better. Guitarist is great but the bass player and drummer are killer too! They're brothers and tight as hell. -David http://www.garageband.com/artist/MichaelangelosMuse
