Starman
I'm looking at buying one of these so would like to know from others the pros and cons about my intended purchase and what these guitars are like. I heard the only problem they suffer from are the tuning pegs which at times prevents the guitar from being in tune but all else, they're great guitars. madgrinder
I PREFER the studio models. NO flashy inlay, NO binding, NO pickguard, NO crappy gold plating. It is a "sports car" guitar. Stripped to the bare necessities and tuned up. ...it's Mr Stabby, da da da da da daaaah, da da da da da da daaaah...
Gabriel E.
Originally posted by Starman: ...but all else, they're great guitars. They're ok guitars, not great guitars. Keep in mind that they are mass produced by a Korean subcontractor. As such, they are made of cheaper materials and they have a reputation for inconsistency. Also, because Epiphone is a "budget" brand, the resell value is fairly low.
