Shannon
At this time I turn again to the expert panel... I don't know anything about acoustic amps. My friend has an ibanez acoustic, not sure of the model, think it's a AEG10TPL. We want to be able to jam together. As most of you know, i have recently aquired a Gibson Les Paul Special and a Fender Pro Junior. Her guitar has nice tone and we're looking foward to playing together but she needs an amp. Her style is more on the classic rock to folk side... and will range from light and twinkly to hard and heavy. As usual all input is greatly appreciated. tank you tank you
Blue Strat
Does her guitar have a piezo pickup in it? If so, I'd suggest a good old solid state Peavey with chorus and reverb. There's a 2 x 10 amp called the Studio Chorus 210 that's a good one. Also, the Stereo Chorus 212 is good. Some of the newer amps with multi-effects built in would work well too. Another option is a Dean Markley Pro-Mag soundhole pickup and a standard guitar amp of her choosing. BlueStrat a.k.a. Shannon
I looked it up and I'm almost 100% sure that the AEG10 is the correct model and if it is, it is equipped with the Fishman Sonicore Pickup with AEQ-SS Shape Shifter EQ.

RDuke
Shannon, Ultrasound is what I most often see recommended. Others that get usually get plugs, California Blonde and Stawberry Blonde, and Crate. For casual jamming, you probably wouldn't need more than 50 watts in any model. Personally, I have Trace Elliot TA50r . Its piezo and active inputs, and tone shaping facilities make it versatile enough for most acoustic pickups. Unlike most others, it also weighs in at a modest 20 lbs. Not as easy to find now and days, a little more expensive, but great little amps. http://rickduke.opsyhopsy.com
