What does asterisk mean in tab

Suppose you saw this. I found this for "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

It goes on fromt here. But at the beginning of some measures and end of some measures, I see these two astericks. What's that mean?

It's a repeat. When you see one at the end of a measure, you return to the first ones and play that part again.
