Have you ever heard the radio program, "Little Steven's Underground Garage"? It's a syndicated show; in D.C. it runs on Sunday nights. It's Steve Van Zandt (of The E-Street Band, and "Sopranos" fame) playing a lot of garage-band type stuff.

This past Sunday the whole show was a tribute to the Ramones (in honor of Joey's b-day this week). He played a lot of stuff that was influential to them, some bands that were obviously influenced by them, and a bunch of other groups covering Ramones tunes. It was really very cool (I suppose you'd have to like the Ramones somewhat first...). I think my favourite thing he played was U2 doing "Beat on the Brat" - very interesting! :thu:

May all your thoughts be random!

That's very Deja Vu

Lee Flier and What The.... are going to Miami to be in Little Stevens contest!

here's a quote from her site:

Great news for What The...? - we've been selected to play in a Battle of the Bands contest being sponsored by the greatest radio show EVER, Little Steven's Underground Garage! Little Steven is on the hunt for the best unsigned rock'n'roll band in the country, and we're in the running! Woohoo!

So here's how it works: The first round of the battle is the Regional battles. Ours will take place in Miami on Friday, May 21. The winner of the regional battle gets a whole bunch of gear from Gibson, plus a spot in the final battle in NYC, which will be judged by Little Steven himself!

We're truly excited for this opportunity, as it's a chance to play for lots and lots of fans of real rock'n'roll. There couldn't be a better place to showcase our stuff. So, check out the schedule for details and get your ass down to Miami if you're anywhere near there! Otherwise, we could use as many well-wishes as we can get!

BTW...George Strait's birthday was yesterday (so they had a city holiday here in SA ;) )
