madgrinder
I've got a tryout on Friday for a band called OCD. I may not be around here much for the next few days trying to dig some material. It's much harder for me to play for a musician than to play for an audience... ...it's Mr Stabby, da da da da da daaaah, da da da da da da daaaah... Mike Gug
Remember stage presence. Move around a bit, if needed... unless you'll be trying out for the Eagles Reunion Tour, sitting on barstools. They're coming around again! How much money can these guys spend!? Mikegug www.facebook.com/theresistancemusic
NMcGuitar
Good luck! Just remember to enjoy yourself. It'll make you play better, give you better presence, and even if you don't get the gig, you'll have had a good time. Knock 'em dead! Werewolf by Night
Yeah, don't get nervous; have a good time. Don't forget that the band must meet your standards, too, so you're not the only one "auditioning", in a sense. Imagine that you're playing for an audience, that you already got a gig just filling-in on guitar for one little show. You'll do fine. To make the best impression and to feel totally, comfortably relaxed, be sure to get rip-roarin' p!$$-drunk and I mean $h!t-faced; also eat a case of burritos for breakfast.
