...before I blow something up

Anyway, Finally got around to reading the Instructions (all 8 pages), and saw this cryptic hint

Link to scan

says:

"HINT Use of the RECORDING OUT/PHONES jack allows even better reproduction of the COSM-modeled sound."

So what do that mean...plug the sucker into (1)- PA Mixer (2) - Another Amp (3) - direct to my I-Mac...just thought I would throw this out there.

I would NOT plug anything like that directly to my computer input. There's no hardware input pad on the computer.

Start with headphones in the jack to get an idea of the level - leave the headphones off your head and jsut sitting on the table. You'll hear what kind of output you get.

You already know this, but lower the input pad on your mixer to zero, and lower the fader. Gradually bring up the input pad up to just shy of clip, and then adjust the fader to listening level through your monitors. After the fader is up, you may need to lower the input pad.

Roland manuals always look they were written in Sanskrit, and then translated through several languages (latin, aramaic, klingon) and finally to English. "please to lower the volume before into plugging"

NO KIDDING ;):D;)

That's why I asked - the guys are getting together Sat, so I'll plug it into the PA and see what happens!

Got any cool stereo effects, especially "rack-mount"-stylee/line-level multieffects processors? Go from the aforementioned output to the effects and then to the mixer, soundcard, outboard power-amp, whatever; you'll most likely be pleasantly surprised at how much better that sounds than in an effects-loop or in front of the amp. Should sound cool through the PA, especially if it's also stereo, and it'll leave your amp dry and wholly tonally intact.

Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do?
