Dave da Dude
I know I've seen this feature (slowing down the music IN pitch to learn) on efx, but don't remember which ones. I want to forget about "learning" music (for a while anyway) and just learn some "cool" songs that I'd like to learn, but I need to slow them down to learn them (ala the Learn to Play Guitar with The Ventures series). Also, I'm thinking that I need a drum beat (or metronome) to keep me in time. Does anyone know which entry level (i.e. cheap) units have both of these features? Dave Gotta' geetar... got the amp. There must be SOMEthing else I... "need".
A String
Give this a try first. It slows down a cd on your computer without changing pitch, so you can learn sections. Plus it's free! Shoes
That's a cool little tool. Like the name of the upgrade product "Musicians Slow Downer" almost feel yerself going there as you say it. .. any of the Digitech GNX and beyond systems do this and there are older models that had this integrated into their design as well that you can pickup used. I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

JimK
Here's some software that will do it: SlowBlast I have a GNX3, and as mentioned, any of the GNX units will do it. But, they only let you record 9 seconds of audio at a time. The nice part is you can control the playback with the foot pedals so your hands are free to play.
