Hi! I´m new here :P

I found a homepage of electric Guitars I have never heard about.

Now I´m going to ask musicians in forum if somebody has experience with a mahogany maple semi hollow body and single coils.

How is the sound and the sustain?

If somebody has more experience - please tell me.

Thank you

I give you the link

For a few seconds there, I thought this was a spam. :D

Your question about the sound of a hollow body is going to be a little hard to answer. I generally prefer the sound of a humbucker in a hollow body just to beef up the sound a bit. I have always found the single coil a little thin (Except in my Strat of course!) Hollow body and semi-hollow bodied guitars all have an acoustic flavor to them which I have always found appealing. As far as the sound goes, if you are into jazz or similar styles of music, the hollow bodies are great. If, however, you are more into punk, metal etc. you may not be happy with the sound you get.

Of course this is all just my opinion. Everybody has a different ear for this kind of thing.

Welcome to the forum, Texas! You'll meet some excellent folks here and always get answers to your questions, I know it's helped me a ton. That's a cool looking guitar, you will no doubt get a reply from someone who has experience with them. My guess is it'll sound great, my only hesitation would be buying something without playing it first, but that's just me. Tell us about yourself - what do play, are you in a band, etc.

Hi - thank you for information!

My favourite stile of music is blues and a little rock. I play a strat a tele and a guilt (oh yes and a little hohner with steinberger system - cool). My amps are a bassman and a Vibro King.

I always liked the semi sound of the guilt /starfire VI were I changed the picups (fender lacke sensor) - but I think my modell is not really the best. So I prefere to play my strat - here I like the shaping and the advantages for playing cord and rythm (a dream) The Tele has a bit too mutch trebel for me. Now I´m looking for a confortabel Instrument with a long sustain (like my strat or a Les Paul) but no strat and with a fath tone (once I owened a Les Paul - she had a fat tone and was pure mahogany). In my Vibro King I´m going to change the tubes now - I want old general electric or silvania tubes with a warm tone. Mine are russian sovtek (fender)- I put them out - they can cut your ears :D

I played in some bands - now I do my music alone - I play guitar with bass drum and high head on fed and sing my blues he he he :D

Hey Texas Joe, WELCOME !!

Glad to have you here.

On re-tubing your amp; Myles is our resident tube amp guru. See his "never-ending" thread. You can ask him for recommendations for tubes. He works for Groove Tubes as well as having his own amp service business and is THE MAN for tubes. He has a large and detailed "Tube Primer" available that is just plain great.

On the guitar, I'm afraid that I have no experience with it. Maybe someone else, like Jim Soloway, our resident luthier and guitar building entrepenuer.

Again, welcome to the forum, Dave

Gotta' geetar... got the amp. There must be SOMEthing else I... "need".
