The parts just got here!

I really like the feel of the Padouk neck, and the Ebony fingerboard has a nice dark/milk chocolate stripe that look great!

I'm shielding it tonight an as soon as the PUs get here, I'll be wiring it up.

Warmoth makes terrific parts (I've got one of their alder bodies on one of my guitars and a solid rosewood neck on another). One of my greatest regrets is selling a guitar I made out of a padouk neck with ebony fretboard. A few years after I sold it I got to play it again and my God, that combination ages well. I'm sure you'll be well pleased!

After alot of deliberation I ordered a Padouk neck with a rosewood fingerboard for my American Deluxe Strat (the 24 3/4 scale conversion) SS6105 frets and abalone dots. Now this morning I see someone else likes the Padouk neck. That makes my day. I'd never seen one but loved the way it looked in the pictures. Thanks for posting that.

S-w-e-e-e-e-e-t! I've heard only good things about Warmoth, and one of these days I'm going to order a neck with jumbo frets for my MIM Strat (I'm thinking I'll pay off my new American Deluxe first - before the divorce lawyers start circling). I like the fact that Warmoth offers lots of left handed stuff, ditto for Carvin. Have fun putting it together, we anxiously await pics of the final product!

If you don't mind telling...what did the entire "kit" cost you?

I would like to have a Tele with P90's.

I've thought about the new Fender/Squire Tele Custom II:

or the Fender TC-90's...which look kina cool:

But...on the Squire Custom II has an all maple neck...and I would like to have something different...?

And...the TC-90 is semi-hollow with the F-hole...which I'm not that crazy about...kinda' wanted a solid body...or at least no F-hole.

I see that Warmoth can give me just about any combination I want...just wondering what the total cost would be?

Maybe I'll give 'em a call and discuss my desires. :D

I must say...the Squire Tele Custom II is a nice looking guitar that can be had for $230 at Musician's Friend!!!

I guess in the blonde color, the maple neck would look quite good.

Not sure about the agathis body...anyone?

The body was $399 and the neck was $219 from the showcase.

I put some of it together last night, so I'll post some more pics when i get home.

The body came from the Showcase already finished. The neck doesn't need to be finished because the Padauk wood doesn't require it.

I'm putting nickle-covered/F-spaced --Air Norton in the neck Tone Zone in the bridge.
