njrocker
Saw it on NBC this mornin'...first thing that came to mind-"Did the Fender plant get burned?" They said 6 structures were down at 7:00 EDT this mornin, none of 'em homes. Hmmm...i have an '03 Strat-I wonder if its value will go up if the plant burns...but then all their new guitars will get more expensive...hmmm...I wonder... Robman2
Hardly, that plant is on the Prado Dam side of the freeway, in an industrial park, near to the old airport. Not a whole lot to burn there unless, the entire city cathes.. The influx of chaparel built tract mansions and tracts generally, over the last 15 years, has left the distance from inferno to safty about as wide as the brush removal zone the CFD requires. The fire is actually east and Fender would be west. Grew up in those mountains, and it's a shame that the need for housing overides what was once fairly unspoiled out that way. But so it goes.
