Dak Lander
This what I'm starting with. So far the body has been fully dis-assembled and re-assembled. No top of course, that'll be flat for the resonator cone & bridge assembly. All the old glue cleaned off & etc & the auto body bondo is gone. Still some final stripping and cleaning to do before I go on with it. The neck, heel area has been cleaned up. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it, in the final but I'm going to try. Gotta figure out if I want a sound chamber in this one too. Then, is going to be a birch plywood top or??? http://www.daklander.com/pics/epiphone_body_2.jpg http://www.daklander.com/pics/epiphone_neck_2.jpg Our Joint "When you come slam bang up against trouble, it never looks half as bad if you face up to it." Werewolf by Night
Whoa, Dak, there'll be some serious Mojo goin' on there! That guitar has got some issues! That's not just vintage and retro, it's forensic evidence from the Jurassic!! "Break-a-leg", my friend; I think you've got your work cut out for you there! It sure won't be lacking in personality... Go with the "f-holes" in the upper-bouts, and if you can get one, a cover-plate that has the crescent-moon and star pattern. Or, Hell. make something!
