spigotsaol.com
Hello all. I have been a Performer user since 1990. Due to a change of venue, my "utility" computer is now a Wintel machine. I need help in choosing a bare bones MIDI program. It needs to be Windows 2000 Professional compatible, able to chase MTC, MTP AV friendly, and M Audio Audiophile 24/96 compatible. Digital Audio capabilities are not necessary. Deep editing capabilities are not that important either. It will be used primarily for sequencing drum, key and bass parts. Price is an issue. I am not a fan of Windows at all, but our facility is PC based, so I've gotta bite the bullet and stick with it for now. Thanks in advance, Frank
Anderton
Maybe something like Steinberg Cubasis, Cakewalk Home Studio, or Emagic Micrologic would do the job for you. These are simple, fairly complete programs for basic MIDI programming, without bells and whistles, and I think they all cost under $100. You can probably find demos on the web. Super 8
Have a look at PowerTracks Pro Audio from PG Music. It costs 30 bucks and works quite well. In terms of a basic needs/inexpensive sequencer, I think it should more than meet your expectations.
