Jim Soloway
This showed up in my e-mail yesterday from a friend who recorded me playing at NAMM on Sunday. He's a great guitar builder, but has his limitations as a photographer. If you're willing to turn your head sideways though, it's kind of fun. It's only the second time I've ever seen a movie of me playing and I now know why I'm usually heard instead of seen. :=) http://jimsoloway.com/Photos/NAMM04/JSatNAMM04.mov www.solowayguitars.com

Jim.....NICE...Were you using the Cube? maybe I can turn it the right way in QT PRO That would be very cool. I have no clue how to straighten it out. I was playing through some huge (by my standards) VHT rock monster. I was surprised by how good a clean tone we were able to get out of it. I did have a long talk to the folks at Roland though. They have a new Micro-Cube that runs the same circuitry into something like a 6 inch speaker. I think it even runs on batteries. They're also planning a larger version with more power and a single 12. www.solowayguitars.com
Guitar Geezer
Dave...it may need Quicktime 6 - had to get the latest a short time back - some new compression codix (?) Who knows. More in my range than a Swan I was really impressed with all of the Ibanez thinline hollow bodies. That seems to be an area they've really decided to focus on and just taking a quick look, they seem to be doing a great job with them. At those prices, their really tough to beat. www.solowayguitars.com

Unfortunately my version or Media Player and Real Audio don't support the file format. Even the RA update didn't work and said I need to download the latest version of QuickTime Player. dave251
Jim- You looked relaxed and like you are having a great time...wish I was there... When you said sideways...I thought you meant a side shot....not laying down on the job! Guitars look great...couldn't tell much from the sound, although I've heard earlier clips and they sound great too. Just finished up the 7 string eC baritone(29.5" scale). Here's a clip: eC 7 string baritone This one is going to a jazzer, and I've spent only about an hour with the beast...it's tuned, for this clip, high to low.... B, F#, D, A, E, A, E. I'm just kind of noodling around using a "D" position chord...but actually playing in A. The action is set up real greasy for the client, who plays fingerstyle, but here I'm beating on it with a heavy ga. flatpick, so there's some rattles. If you really want to hear the low end...you'll need a sub. Dave Wendler Instruments
