Leon_
Does anyone remember these little amps? This little amp can drive a Marshall 4X12...I still have mine..had it for 14 years...nice built in chorus, too...It's not my main amp...great for rehearsing & I also use it for demos...I didn't use it for my album (CD)...I like Boogies & Marshall's too much...GK is known for their Bass amplification..but this little amp has great punch in a compact size... Cheers !! www.guitar9.com/leonmaclellan.html
fantasticsound
I always wanted one! When they came out one of the big sounds every rock guitarist wanted was the Scholz Rockman distorted tone with chorus. (I can actually see and hear Lee Flier shuddering! ) The GK 250 was the epitomy of Scholz's next step. Great for GK, bad for Scholz, whose amp products were the opposite of the Rockman. Too much circuitry, too many options, cluttered. The 250 is anything but overly-complex, but yielded pretty much the same timbre. I also loved the idea of mounting one on a mic stand. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
demarc
I always admired that amp. It is still on my wish list! (Santa, are you listening?) Great sound in a small package! Now that I am getting older, hauling a big heavy amp is something that I would not want to do (often).
