Blue Strat
I just got a rack mount delay off e-bay for $50, and I want to put it into a case, mainly so I can put it on top of my amp without scratching that lovely polyurethane finished pine cabinet I built. Any ideas for a low budget case? It's not more than 6" deep, but it's wide and probably won't sit on top of the amp head without hanging off the sides. What's the full depth of most rack effects? I think this one is considered shallow depth. I want the case to be big enough for four units, and deep enough for all rack effects. I'm probably going to make a case out of pine or poplar, with oak rails. I doubt that the oak will split or the threads will strip out. That's tough stuff! BlueStrat a.k.a. reachjkh
http://www.rondomusic.bigstep.com/category.html?UCIDs=875804 I like this site. Good cheap stuff with excellent reviews (at least on their basses I don't know about the rest-good service). Hey you white boy there Go play that funky music "ok...what's it pay?" first smoke, then silence your very expensive rig dies so gracefully
revolead
Make your own. It'll be cool. Then you could custom stain it too match your JCM800 clone. P.S. - Can we see the delay? Shut up and play.

Here's the link to the delay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=23790&item=2575111153 It's pretty good for $50. It's got four effects: Echo, Double, Lo-Flange, and Hi-Flange. I'm not exactly sure what the difference between the lo and hi flangers are. It does a cool slap-back echo like Brian Setzer uses, and it also can do a fairly convincing Leslie sound. I used to have a Leslie cabinet, and this comes real close to that sound. I opened the top up and looked inside. Lots of digital chips in there, looks like late 70's technology. All discrete components; no super-duper microprocessor shit in there. BlueStrat a.k.a.
