G&L Legacy-please talk me into it!

A friend wants me to buy his Legacy. It's a sunburst with matching headstock, rosewood board, only a few months old, and he'll sell it to me for $400.00 less than the brand-new cost.

The thing is, I've got one already, a blonde Legacy. I love it-a really great guitar-but I've also got two CS Strats and two "Stratalikes"-a Hamer Daytona and a Schecter California Custom. I...I...can't believe I'm writing this, but...

I really don't need this guitar...

Still, I want it, so I'm relying on a few of you to talk me into it! It shouldn't take much, but for the first time in my life I need that little extra push. C'mon, give me back my GAS!

Let's see...

My current one has an ash body while the potential purchase is alder.

My old one has a GR synth hookup.

The new one has punchier pickups.

The neck on the new one is a bit more comfortable.

And...I own one and don't own the other! (I told you I need help on this one!).

:D

Half an hour ago, my friend brought the Legacy to my office, and I found myself writing out a check.

I've already set it up to my tastes, and took a break from playing it to thank those of you who responded; you really did help talk me into buying it, and that's a really goooood thang!

One of my friends just doesn't get KISS. He can't see past the make-up and platform shoes.

I think you've already provided rationale in the form of the comparison you made between your current Legacy and the one in consideration.

If that's not enough how about this. It will be an INVESTMENT. It sounds like you can get it dirt cheap so if, in the future, you ever second guess your decision to buy, you can always sell it an get your money back plus more.

BTW, what did your friend pay for it?

well for some reason some people are not fans, too bad. i grew up (well i didn't really grow up yet) on kiss and have a special space in my heart for the guys. lost interest in the 80's . but i still love the classics and consider Destroyer to be one hell of an album that everyone could learn from. i have lots of respect for Ace and how every solo he played became part of the song. not many people can do that. great band, who are sometimes knocked for playing some good rock and roll. those who judge them should judge every other band by the same standards.

One of the things I always liked about KISS...

They never needed to rely on some "gimmick" to make it...
