Pretzel logic
We are having a really bad snow storm here, so the local public radio station played the whole "APOSTROPHE" album. I think it's my new favorite album. Nanook is one cool cat!!
Prague
We always play that on Sunday at the weekly St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast (hey, who stole the margarine?).
Caevan O’Shite
The night before, behind the door, the leprechaun, he stroked... his smock. He delighted as it stiffened, and ripped right through his sock! ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ That's when I called Pup Tentacle, and asked him how's he been; and asked him how the future was, 'cause that's just where he's been... Caevan O’Shite
Man, you wanna check out a couple of seriously good Zappa albums, get You Are What You Is and The Man From Utopia. An added bonus is lots of "stunt guitar" by Steve Vai. Why stop there... try The Best Band You Never Saw In Your Life, which includes a simultaneously funny and brilliant cover of Stairway To Heaven(!), and You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore. And, for some cool live solos (and nothing but solos), all by Frank, Guitar. Of course, the Shut Up and Play Your Guitar "series" is absolutely sublime at times. Them Or Us is downright bizzarre (in a good way) at times. And Strictly Commercial is a good, brief "best of". If you were going to own only three Zappa albums (who wouldn't at least want that many?), they should be Apostrophe, Shut Up and Play Your Guitar, and You Are what You Is. All should be listened to upon a red sofa, with a few throw pillows, and someone stripping away a rancid poncho... Don't forget, I am the Zomby Woof... don't try to remain aloof! DIAMOND DUST
I really dig "One size fits all". Inca roads is a way killer tune. "San Ber'dino" has Johnny 'guitar' Watson really singing his ass off. http://b-cordova.dmusic.com/
