Your new mantra for the Paganini is "Yngwie, Yngwie"...

Has anyone heard Yngwie on a nylon string? :D

Yeah :) , Paganini was the Yngwie of his day, except he had some original ideas. Yngwie copies Paganini extensively.

Switching from a pick to fingerstyle (required for a lot of the classical style guitar) isn't an easy task for me. I have very short fingernails now, and can't stand them long, so I've got to get my finger tips between the strings. Caprice #5 looks like a good excercise to get my left hand technique up to snuff on the higher frets, while Fugato will hopefully improve my right hand technique. Or that's the plan. :)

Nice-looking guitar. I'm in the market for a reasonably-priced classical myself so please keep us posted on how you like it. Congrats!

I've been practicing for the past three hours on it, but I've gotta put it down and get some dinner before I go to work. :( So far I love it! It's a hell of a lot easier to play than my steel stringed Ovation. The Ovation has been assigned to rythym duties from this day forward! :)

It's day three and I'm still in love with it! I've got the first of three pages of Fugato memorized, trying to build speed and timing on it before going on to the next page. :) I'm fired up over playing guitar again! I guess it's the total change of style and learning something new. ;)
