Teahead
Hello, I'd like to invite you to take a listen to my bands music. I would really appreciate your comments and suggestions, positive or otherwise. Chech it out... www.worldofthecusp.com/redemption.mp3 Thanks guys. Boggs
Strong vocals, high energy... Not my particular favorite genre of music but then again, I'm an old guy. What you do, you do very well and your band is definitely a good head-bangin' band that should have no trouble getting a following. Good, straight forward, in-your-face rockin' with a side of grunge! Check 'em out, folks! Just my thoughts... James-Italy
Not really my cup of tea Sorry, couldn't resist. Teahead, I had meant to comment on your post in the "Share your music with the forum... THE MASTER MUSIC POST AREA " but after I listened to your song, I forgot to do it. I'll take the time out now to give you my probably worthless opinion and comments on your song. "Redemption": Overall very good work! A very live feel, but still nice and tight. Your song reminds is what I term "real music", which there seems to be a shortage of lately. Don't want to offend you or anything, but this song sounds like a lot of the really cool punk rock stuff I loved from the 80's. To me that's a good thing. I liked the drums and vocals a lot. The bass and guitars are cool, too. Which of the two is you? Overall it works for me. Keep up the good work. I don't have any suggestions for you. It's your music and it sounds like you all have a very clear idea of what you're about and what you want to do. Since I'm the BubbleGum dude, I could maybe help you sugarcoat it a bit, but I don't think that's what you're after. meek20
Teahead , I thought it was an excellent track. You are one of the guitar players, correct? I enjoyed it--well done!

Teahead
Thanks for the interest, I felt a little uneasy about opening a thread with it, but having waited so long to get mp3's of our tracks I just had to share, your welcoming tones have put me at ease. I'm glad that the energy comes through, it was a live recording James, on a Yamaha 16 track. Meek, I am one of the guitar players, we are both playing Teles on this, panned slightly each side. Mines the one responsible for the feedback in the intro, the thicker toned of the two. Again thanks for taking the time to listen, if you fancy hearing more... www.worldofthecusp.com/thecuspdownloads.html Pedal Clips
Boggs
Teahead, I have long been a believer that forums such as this should be a place where, among other things, we can share our music and our enthusiasm for it. If you think it is SPAM, don't enter the thread. Just make sure the title reflects the content and it is quick and easy to scan what you want to see or not want to see. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming... Teahead
I know just what you mean guitarzan, I played Les Pauls for years, but when I recently got a Tele the crunch from the front pick-up hooked me like nothing my Gibson could offer! Angry and emotive. Boggs, thanks for the advice. One mans spam is, after all, another mans steak! Pedal Clips
NMcGuitar
Very cool! It kinda straddles a couple of styles and makes it's own space. Lots ot energy. doc taz
I like the songs, Teahead. Man, there's been some good music coming out of these forums. Cottonmouth D.N., What-The?, and another from some poster named henchman (or is it henchmen?). Dammit, I gotta get myself a drum machine, a new PC, and Adobe Audition (is that right?). Or at least a 4 track and a drum machine... sevenstring.org profile my flickr page
Dave da Dude
Geeeez, I wish my (computer) speakers were working. So much new music to listen to and I sit here like I'm deaf with no speakers. TeaHead, if Boggs, McGuitar and Taz like your stuff, it must be pretty good. When (if) I get my speakers working, I'll take a listen, but I warn you, I'm an old fart too. I like Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, CCR, The Stones, Led Zep, The Who, etc. Who influenced you? I live near Charlotte, NC. Any chance of seeing you live? Dave Gotta' geetar... got the amp. There must be SOMEthing else I... "need".
Dak Lander
Well shit, this old boy likes it too. Good rock & roll with an edge. Kinda likens back to some of the 70s stuff I used to listen to. Our Joint "When you come slam bang up against trouble, it never looks half as bad if you face up to it." The Duke... Caevan O’Shite
Yeah, rock'n'roll, Tea! Kinda reminds me of some music a friend of mine recently e-mailed me... I dig that swerve, tires squealin' and all, at about 1:19... was that you, or your compatriot? Oh, yeah, and is that with the Yellow Jackets in your Hot Rod DeVille? Sounds bitchin'! I've gotta get over there sometime, it's just not gonna be right away, but it will happen, just later, not sooner. In the mean time, keep a candle, or a teacup, or maybe just some tubes, lit for me, O.K.? See ya! Teahead
Kind words guys, thanks... Dave, we live in Ireland so a live show may be a little far for you! Hopefully we'll have a live performance on our site within the next week or so, I'll keep you posted. Caevan, that's me you hear at 1:19 alright, the take was a last ditch attempt at the end of a very frustrating evening, but the attitude really came through. The Yellow Jackets are responsible for that growling tone, they changed my amp into a beast, the sound suits our style so much more than those 6L6's ever did. You know who I thank for that! Here's an older recording, from about 18 months ago, for anyone who fancies it... www.worldofthecusp.com/RunFromToward.mp3 Once again, thanks for the input. T. At least, going by the Stones, Zep, and Who as references... definitely rock'n'roll. Borrow some headphones, man! Teahead- hey, stranger- I just might have to get (or, more likely, build) a Tele, and fix up that old Pro Reverb, sooner now, thanks a lot for feeding the G.A.S.-monster! I might even have to try out a set of those Yellow Jackets, myself! Sounds great! Ker-RAANNGGG!!! Teahead
Caevan, I couldn't recommend them highly enough, my sound is twice as thick as it was, and deliciously develish in its bite. Teahead
Thanks Meek! That tune was recorded at a local studio, I think he used Pro-Tools for some of the stuff, on a Mac. The other was recorded on a Yamaha AWG(?) 16 track at our rehearsal space. I'm just messing around with Cubasis 4 on my laptop at the minute, I'm having difficulty in mastering the monitoring, do you know much about this stuff? I'd be gratefull for any help, thanks again for checking the tunes out. Pedal Clips

All I have is a Tascam Portastudio 414 (I have not updated my recording equipment in a long time). I'd like to be able to record digitally & convert my songs to mp3's, when called for. What would you recommend?
Teahead
The Cubasis software can do what you're asking, I've only recently started playing with it, but I was able to construct a song from guitplayers backing track, do the necessary conversions, and post back in a few hours. Not bad from scratch for a PC novice. A digital 8/16 track is a dedicated device though, and as such can be a lot simpler to use. You should post your question on the digital recording forum, I'm sure someone will give you the right advice, Good Luck! Pedal Clips

Teahead
No problem meek, we post everything on... www.worldofthecusp.com/thecuspdownloads.html Half of our songs are downloadable, and they're swapped from time to time, but I'll gladly make them available for you, just let me know. Good Luck with your recording search too, I ordered a USB soundcard for my laptop this morning, so I should be up and running by the weekend! I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Take Care, T.
