Hound Dog
Anybody heard from our old friend Pat Travers lately? Yum, Yum! Eat em up!
michael saulnier
Pat is one of my favorite players. During his "rock" days, "Puttin' it Straight" was in regular rotation on my stereo! It's almost too bad he's best known for "Snortin' Whiskey"... it's not really his best song or representative of his best music... but whatever. He's been making blues based cd's for many years now, and has a website with tour info. http://www.pattravers.com/ My brother saw him in Jan, at the Coach House and said it was a great show, with Pat on top of his game... Rock on Pat! guitplayer I'm still "guitplayer"! Check out my music if you like... http://www.michaelsaulnier.com

I just went through a "buy a bunch of old cd's i used to have on album but someone stole" stage and guess what one of my first choices was...... Putting it strait! GREAT SHIT! If you buy it now 'heat in the street' comes with it and it is hand signed by the man himself. How cool is that. Check out SUPERVIBE

michael saulnier
Pat just released a new cd of "covers"... White Room, Day of the Eagle, Highway 61 and more... it's rockin', recorded simply and much like a live show, and apparently Pat is playing these songs on stage... If you prefer the rockin' Pat, get the new PAT TRAVERS TRIO cd! guitplayer I'm still "guitplayer"! boosh
I had the pleasure of jamming with him during one of his concerts in the Netherlands about 6 years ago. He was at a show together with Popa Chubby and some scottish guy called eddy samuels and walter Trout. He let me jump on stage and play some bluesharp during one of his songs,... Very very very gifted guitarplayer he is,and a nice guy too! Fan, nu pissar jag taggtråd igen. Jag skulle inte satt på räpan. http://www.bushcollectors.com
Tedster
Yeah, Pat Travers kicked...er, kicks ass. I had the "Puttin' it Straight" LP...years ago. And maybe a couple others..."Crash and Burn"? And I don't really mind "Snortin' Whiskey" either...bands of mine covered it for years. Reminded me in a good way of the groove Johnny Winter gives "Rock Me Baby" (Still Alive and Well) "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

alanfc
That live album made me drop the trumpet after ten years of playing, and pick up the guitar. 100% the number one reason I started playing. The music from that album is in my head every day (creepy huh?) Rivera + Fender Strat
Strat777
Yeah, that one smokes. His new 'Greatest Hits Live' cd is pretty good too. But I wish he would present us with some new original material. I like the cover tunes he does, but it's getting kinda old. 11...it's 1 louder
