Virtual Jim
has anyone actually taken score cards to a guitar-centric concert? sitting in gridlock, you get the craziest ideas. I just think it'd be funny. especially if it were one of the dudes that explicity mentions how no one does that in interviews.
Caevan O’Shite
Na, but I've held up a lighter and made the "devil"/heavy-metal sign in bars... this is most effective when the players are all acoustic, playing folky stuff, etc. Gets a laugh and kicks off friendly between-sets talk every time... Tedster
No rules...I like hollering "SABBATH!" at acoustic things, too. Then there's the other extreme...being on stage and introducing the next song as "a wonderful little lullabye my Irish grandmother used to sing to me" and launching into "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
george costanza
Alright---revival of "Battle of the Bands"!!! I'd go further; I think bands should have a draft for younger players (actually both James Brown & Clinton's PFunk empire worked that way) & be able to trade, say, for example, Lindsey Buckingham for Rick Vito, G E Smith & a player-to-be-named-at-a-later-date !
