Ok, ok!! So I'm not playing my instrument. It IS recent! And just look at the rock star standing next to me. Makes me look handsome!!

Actually, Denise told me I had to take this pic off our computer wallpaper because Gene's ugly mug was freakin' her out. Lilly immediately protested saying, "Don't call him ugly mama.. That's daddy's friend!"

From the mouths of babes... :D

I officially hate you!

DAMN!! What was it like meeting Gene?!? Was he cool?!? Was he gracious and polite? Did you guys talk long?

Wow! I fail to post for a few days and, of course, I become the object of... well, I won't hazard a guess at admiration or ridicule! :freak:;)

Gene was very nice... of course, he had just said on the 10:00pm news that he'd stay until everyone had a chance to get an autograph. The bookstore closed at 11pm, so anyone through the door before then would get to meet him. I drove in from home at 10:30pm. It's about a 20 min. drive that time of night. I wasn't particularly starstruck about meeting Gene, but my wife's best friend (who lives 8 hours drive away, so no chance to be there) is a KISS fanatic. I bought Gene's book for her and had him sign it. (He wasn't signing instruments... I guess too many ended up on Ebay the next day. ) Anyway, I had her brother wake her up to take my call and she spoke to Gene for about 15 seconds. It was funny. I put the phone on speaker so he wouldn't have to put it to his ear. Unfortunately, before I could stop him, Gene DID put it to his ear, eliciting quite the wince when she spoke, speaker blaring in his face. Considering the ridiculous levels KISS played at the Nashville Arena when I worked the first farewell tour in '98, I like to think it was justified retribution. ;)

And personal thanks to Neil McGuitar for his wonderful photoshop job. I've never done full face paint! Now I know what it would look like. :freak:

:D

It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman

Great pic, Lee! :thu:

BTW, speaking of gigs, didn't you say that What The? might be in the Baltimore-Washington area sometime soon?

Okay, time to give this thread some new life.

This is totally photshopped (is that really a verb now?? ). A friend of mine did the pic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/nmcguitar/Bneilps-sat.jpg

Better to link it the way you did...your pic is huge and will offsett the entire thread.

usually though, for pics that are a reasonable size, you use the tag.

When you reply with the "Full Reply Form", there's a button called image that will do it for you.

"For instance" is not proof.

These are from about 6 months ago. This is most of my gear in these pictures. Epiphone SG 400, Fender Stage 100, Fender DT-412.

This is a full band shot minus the drummer that is I think slightly newer than the above shots.
