NMcGuitar
Always use the proper tool for the job. You don't beat things with a screwdriver, you beat things with a wrench. Shannon
well it began with prying... escalated to beating... with whatever was already in my hand... besides we all know if your going to prepare to beat something you should always use a baseball bat... NMcGuitar
Originally posted by Shannon: lol I would never abuse my guitar though Good plan! I did get to bust up a guitar on stage once, though. It was a high school battle of the bands. A friend of mine said he'd be our roadie, our sound & lighting tech, and provide all the lights & the PA - but only if I smashed up his old guitar in the finale. Who was I to say "no"? It was a really cheap, no-name Les Paul copy. You know what? It is hard work trying to smash a guitar! It freaked out a lot of my friends in the audience too because, under the stage lights, it looked almost exactly like my real LP (which I had been playing for that gig). Anyway, just thought I'd share that story. May all your thoughts be random! - Neil www.McFaddenArts.com www.MikesGarageRocks.com
Lee Flier
LOL... a friend of mine did a Who tribute night once and for the last song, "My Generation," he switched from his good Rickenbackers to a Tesco he'd gotten for 50 bucks from the GC where he worked, and smashed the sucker. It was funny as hell but it DID hurt his hands really bad! He said it's really difficult to actually smash it unless you hold it so the body is parallel to the floor, whereas most people (including him at first) hold it the other way.
