the stranger
I have these on almost all my guitars. The only two I don't have them on is the Strat (tuners are good enough and I don't want to hack up the Strat), and a cheap Warlock that I put some Washburn locking tuners on (I got the set cheap on ebay). Jim Soloway
I've used their open back super light weight non-locking tuners on a few guitars and I'm putting them on all the guitars I'm building. www.solowayguitars.com
baronedo
I installed a set of Sperzel's locking tuners on a Strat and they work fine. One nice advantage is that they come in staggered heights with the wherein the 1st and 2nd string tuners are very low which enabled me to eliminate the string tree. Gabriel E.
Put them on my tele over 10 years ago. They work great. Also use a graphite nut and string tree. "You never can vouch for your own consciousness." - Norman Mailer
Jeff Leites
I've got them on my Carvin Bolt-T, and I put them on the 12-string I recently build. I used the staggered height ones on the 12-string (head not a tilt back), but it wasn't enough, the low A (4th string from the nut) wouldn't stay put, so I still had to put on a string retainer. vintagevibe
I have them on my Strat style and I even put them on one of my acoustics!
doug osborne
Locking staggered-height tuners on my '65 Strat (it had already been hacked by the time I got it, relax). With these, a new nut, and proper tweaking on the tailpiece, I have a very stable, in-tune guitar. Doug Osborne Music on Bandcamp

Hey, Jeff, would shimming that particular tuner from the rear help to sharpen the string-angle behind the nut? If necessary, a "spotface" or light countersink on the face as well? -k Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do? ~ Caevan James-Michael Miller-O'Shite ~ _ ___ _ Leprechaun, Esquire _ ___ _
