I notice you have posted a few tube-related questions for Myles as new threads. You should post them on the " Feel free to ask Myles" thread, he answers all questions posted there. The way to do this is to go to that thread and post your question as a Reply, not as a New Topic.

all a phase invert switch does is criss cross the positive and negative wires in a circuit. It could do more fancy things (like pass through a common emitter transistor), but those are usually not cost effective. It has the effect of turning the sound wave upside down. What this means for your rig is that the speakers go back before they go forward.
