pizzaguy
u know, i onw a combo marshall AVT-100 and to me, it sounds just fine. i play different guitars in it and i can tell the tone differences between all of then, clean and distorted. but when i plug any distortion pedal, to me, all guitars sound the same. does anybody know if this is correct? all distortion pedals make the guitar's tone different or just the "cheap" ones? pizza rules dudes

Franknputer
Could be that your pedal's killing the tone of your guitars, sure - all you hear is pedal, and no tone. Depending on the pedal, though, I can tell the difference. Maybe you should try a different pedal - what kind is it? Or, you could try turning some of the settings down & see if that lets more tone through. Cram enough square wave on a signal and pretty soon that's all you'll hear.
