doc taz Posted August 22, 2002 Share Posted August 22, 2002 I've tried the 50 watter, and it sounded fine. It wasn't enough for me to part with my trusty Fender Deluxe 85, though, but still very good. I've also tried the newer AVTs, esp. the 50 watt head + matching 4x12, and it put out a lot of volume (nearly enough to bust the eardrums...just imagine the 100 watter of that gotta use earplugs with those things). No matter what setting I used on that, it sounded great. Also cleans up very well, even with the gain on the Overdrive up full, and using high output humbuckers (I played it with an ESP LTD M guitar with EMG HZ pu's). Also comes with the all-important headphone jack, so you don't get evicted when the mood strikes at 3 in the morning.
