Alndln
I was watching Latenight w/Conan the other night when on came Harry Connick JR doing Somewhere over the Rainbow with just a guitarist who's touch was really nice for a change. He was introduced at the end by Harry as Jonathan Dubose JR.I did a search and apparently he's known on the gospel circuit.Great playing, excellent touch.I don't really go out of my way these day's to seek out much so maybe this is old news, but new to me. Mark Zeger
I just saw Harry Connick Jr. perform a few weeks ago. He has 2 featured musicians who are highlighted during the show: guitarist Jonathan Duboise Jr., and trombonist Lucien Barbarin. Barbarin has a very charismatic stage presence, but played nothing more that a lot of growls and plunger effects (impressed the audience, though). DuBoise does have a nice touch and shimmering tone, but it wasn't enough to interest me.
