GuitarWolf
I was listing to this song on my pc and when ever it hits this one guitar cord (even if the speakers arnt set that loud) every thing on my computer desk jumps about half an inch of the ground from the vibration! Any idea what cords make objects JUMP? YtseJam your Majesty!
LDSGuitar
Every sound is a different frequency, or combination of frequencies (as is the case for chords). All solid objects are continuously vibrating, and their vibrations will be amplified (i.e. increase in size) when certain frequencies of sound hit them. This can cause your desk to "jump" when a certain chord is hit. The dresser which sits behind my amplifier at home happens to vibrate violently whenever I play a low "D." Try different notes for different objects if you want to see them "jump." LDSGuitar I can make my furniture dance!
Wrave
I think it's called a "sympathetic resonant frequency". Every physical object has a natural frequency and whenever any sound source in proximity to that object produces a sound in that same frequency, it will vibrate in sympathy with the sound source. This is the same effect that Memorex used to use in it's advertising when a singer would hit a high note and a crystal wine glass would shatter. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ME: "Nobody knows the troubles I've seen!"
