LDSGuitar
I have been playing guitar for about four years now, and I'm considering buying a good tube amp for jazz/blues. Any suggestions for amps that sound good and get pretty loud while staying clean? Also, any suggestions for auditioning amps at the store would be appreciated. cincinnatirock
For the money, I like the Traynor amplifiers. I know, I know it doesn't say Fender, Marshall, or Boogie so most people won't give them serious consideration. However, I do know that the Traynor amps are excellent all-around amplifiers. The clean sound is excellent and the dirty channel allows you to dial in tones for any occasion/style. More information is available on their website at yorkville.com As far as tube amp demos are concerned, they sound the best when they are cranked up. Find a store that will let you drive it at a decent volume and then you can make your decision from there.
