Marshall Effects Pedals ???

Are Marshall effects pedals any good?

 

What about their three Distortion / Overdrive pedals Blues Breaker II, Guv 'Nor Plus, and Jackhammer?

Please guys, ANYbody even heard anything about Marshall pedals?

Some people love them and some hate them. I've never played through one, but the people who like them feel that they give you that Marshall tone.

I've played through the 2 distortion overdrive pedals. Can't remember their names. Guv'nor and something else.

 

I actually liked them both. I think the latter was better (the one I can't remember the name). I remember the pedals having a huge range of distortion and eq.

 

I can't remember which amp I tried them thru, but it was on the cleanest setting, and I used the pedals to get all the gain. It's been about a year, so pardon my memory. But I thought they were good pedals, and the second one really impressed me. When I was jamming with it, a guy who teaches lessons at the store came in and said "Hey, let me give that a shot." He and I switched off for 1/2 an hour with that second pedal. I don't recall it having a "Marshall" sound. That I would have remembered.

 

Now, I was playing on a strange amp, so I couldn't tell you how much these pedals "color" your tone.

 

I did consider buying that pedal (Is it a Jackhammer?). But funds were low at the time.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. I just had NO idea whether they were decent or not. I thought they might be (given the Marshall rep), but who knows.
