The_guitarboy
One of my friends has a Fender Bassman he is willing to sell me for $250. It is a newer model in the 90's. With one 15' and (i think)one 8' speaker. I've heard that they sound amazing for clean but that was all old models. Are the newer ones still good. And is $250 worth it ($600 new). Sylver
Is it an all tube Reissue, or is it a SS bass amp. The Bassman reissue is meant to be used as a guitar amp, and even a 90's reissue at that price is a steal. If it's the SS bass amp, pass on it. I really don't know what to put here. Gabriel E.
The bassman guitar amp has four 10" speakers. An 8" and 15" combo sounds like a bass amp. Is it covered in brown tweed? If not, avoid it. Wickerman
The bass amp is a 1x15 with a 2" tweeter. Sounds fine for bass and clean guitar, maybe a little boomy but if you're looking of a guitar amp, I'd pass. Easy way to tell if you're inexperienced, the Bassman bass amps are black with steel grills, the tube guitar amps are yellow tweed with oxblood grill cloths. D_dup3
Each amp is different---it's had a different "life" and sounds different---why not plug in & listen to that particular amp?
