Kaptain Karl Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/South/02/16/gas.shooting.ap/index.html How can we be so blind? Is this how we watch each others backs in this country? Its just a sick site to see. Jotown Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Sheep..... Nobody wants to get involved in anything. Prayers to the man who was shot. Not a pretty way to go out.... Where is the love? Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
Bob Keelan Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Yeah I saw that earlier. I grew up in NYC where you kinda learn to walk around with blinders on but this is really sad. One guy finished gassing up his car, paid for it, then pulled away while someone else was dying. I read the story a couple of hours ago and it's been sitting in the pit of my stomach since.
offramp Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 "because it not only shows the crime, but the apathy of those who were there, including one man who continued pumping kerosene after looking briefly at Price's body. Not only did the man finish pumping his kerosene, but paid for it and drove off, giving the camera its clearest look at Price lying on the ground. That customer has not been found. In the end our culture is an amalgamation of individuals making moment to moment decisions. I am sure that everyone on this board would have called for help. I am certain of it. We are part of this culture also, so let's not over generalize here. Just a thought to consider. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
