lksongs
I recently bought an Ibanez JS100 Satriani guitar for a great price used and it has been a solid second guitar for the harder rocking gigs. It comes with Ibanez-made axis humbuckers that have a decent, compressed rock tone but I'm not blown away. I'm a huge fan of the more open, growling Gibson sound (I have a Les Paul Studio with 490T & R pickups) but I don't want to duplicate this tone either. Any suggestions on pickups that are in the ballpark of the 490's and can deliver a huge tone with clarity? Thanks for the help. LK

Chip McDonald
Joe's Fred pickup sounds perfect in the bridge of that guitar, IMO... Nollykin
I dont know jack all about which pickups you'd want. I just wanted to say, nice axe sweet deal. Virtual Jim
Hey, on the flipside of this coin, would it sound anything like a les paul if you put in 490s or 57 classics? I played this guitar recently and was blown away by the feel, but I too thought it was lacking in the pickups are.
