They're budget Les Paul copies. I don't trust the quality of newer Squiers.

 

I would recommend looking for a used guitar - you'll get a lot more for the $$. There are a lot of LP-style guitars out there so you should be able to find something simple but good for $350-400.

yea... i agree with Gabe, when i looked at the guitars you were considering i immediately got they cheap imitation feeling in my bones, if i were you i would try to get a used les paul! you maybe able to find a good used les paul for about 150-550 bucks!

Actually.... some of the new Squiers made in Korea are incredibly good for how much they cost.

 

Then again, a lot of guitars coming out of Samick are suspiciously good these days, across a lot of different lines...

Thanks all. I researched these guitars on the Squier website. Though their made abroad, the material makeup of these guitars sound excellent. Will keep them in consideration.
