JZoso74
Im looking into the new 24 series guitars by Squier. Particularly the M70 and 77. Can anyone provide any reviews or information? Thank you.
Gabriel E.
They're budget Les Paul copies. I don't trust the quality of newer Squiers. I would recommend looking for a used guitar - you'll get a lot more for the $$. There are a lot of LP-style guitars out there so you should be able to find something simple but good for $350-400. GuitarWolf
yea... i agree with Gabe, when i looked at the guitars you were considering i immediately got they cheap imitation feeling in my bones, if i were you i would try to get a used les paul! you maybe able to find a good used les paul for about 150-550 bucks! Chip McDonald
Actually.... some of the new Squiers made in Korea are incredibly good for how much they cost. Then again, a lot of guitars coming out of Samick are suspiciously good these days, across a lot of different lines... JZoso74
Thanks all. I researched these guitars on the Squier website. Though their made abroad, the material makeup of these guitars sound excellent. Will keep them in consideration.
Wickerman
Actually, they're not Les Paul rip-offs, they're licenced copys of Guilds, also owned by Fender. Notice the Starfire model?
Wickerman
Oh yeah, I've never played them but as far as Squire goes... Avoid 'em. Spend the extra $100 and get a Mexi Fender.
