Cornforduser Posted April 21, 2002 Share Posted April 21, 2002 When I push my amp ( master at 8, gain at 8 ) with my Les Paul the cab rattles a bit. Take a look at the speacs and tell me if this is normal. The specs are: - Bassman 59 circuit (5F6-A circuit with just one channel and a master volume). - Head format, custom made one off - Black Vintage Tolex a là Vox or Hiwatt - ptp wired and handmounted - custom PT and Marshall JCM800 NOS OT - Two inputs - Preamp : NOS 1 X Mullard ECC83 (driver) and V1: Mullard ECC83 + V2 :G.E. 5751. - Power : 2 x NOS GEC KT66 - Rectification : Mullard GZ-34 - Valve driven parallel fx loop with mix pot and 0/-20 db gain switch - Class A / AB switch ( cathode bias ) Linked to : 1 custom made 2 x 12" cab. Specs: - Same black tolex as above. - Marshall Bluesbreaker grill cloth - 3/4s closed back design - conection in series and parallel ( 4 /16 ohms ). Twin jacks sockets. - Pine construction - Birch baffle panel - Weber alnicos 1 x P12B and 1 x P12NB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
not coaster MODERATOR Posted April 22, 2002 Share Posted April 22, 2002 Most cabs rattle at that volume. The back panel needs to be tightened from time to time.
