Jedi
Whatz Up, folks, I got an old MusicMan 112 Rd Combo for about $120 bucks today. I'm super happy, because I used to have one of these and hated the fact that I sold it. Now, I've got it back, and I'm loving it. This amp is very ballsy. And better yet, it sounds better than my first one. I think it's an older model, wider cabinet. Anyway, just wanted to share, or gloat, or celebrate, or whateverthehell. Steve LeBlanc
Does it have a built-in flanger? I remember some Musicman amp heads did. Those are cool amps...congrats. http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
timrocker
Score, Jedi! I reeeeeely like the Music Man sound too. There's a jam night at a local tavern where the host occasionally puts me on an RD 210 or something like that. So smooooth. Where did you turn up a sweet deal like that? Curious. Jedi
No flanger, guys. I guess you can't have everything. I used to have a head model as well, but I like the combo better. I got the deal through a friend. He had one laying around and didn't even think I would be interested. The amp was literally collecting dust. So casually he says, "You used to have a Music Man didn't you?" It started from there, and ended with me getting one of my favorite amps at a super low price. Can't wait to mic this one up. Catch you later, guitar hermanos. Namaste Jedi "All conditioned things are impermanent. Work out your own salvation with diligence." The Buddha's Last Words R.I.P. hechtdavid
Way to go Jedi! Thats the best deal I've heard of since mine... A few years ago a I got a Music Man 110-RD for $100. Same kind of deal - it sat in storage for a long time. Mint condition with the exception of a short in the footswitch cable - an easy fix. Pound for pound, I think these are some of the best combos in the world. I love being able to walk into a gig with this little gem and people go WOW! All that sound out of that little amp! and plenty of power to run an extension cab if you want to. I used to put mine on top of a Boogie 1-12" cab. Now I use a Fender evil twin for larger gigs, but this gem will be with me always! Enjoy! David

Now, when I want to Rock, I got this 2-12" extension cab with Mojo Tone alnico speakers. I did that yesterday with my old walnut Gibson "The Paul." Man, that thing kicked some serious ass. hechtdavid
Jedi Knight, What kind of tubes are you running in that bad boy? On the 6L6's, I go back and forth between a pair of NOS Phillips 7581A's and Svetlana 6L6GC's. Both sound great and really pretty similar. I've tried a few different 12 AX7's for the driver (limiter) tube, but end up going back to the original Sylvania that was in there when I got the amp. Have you checked out www.musicmanamps.com? The site is still under construction but check the message board. Lots of MM lovers on the net... Namaste to you too, David
