Dank
I have a dozen guitars and would play them more frequently if they were out of their cases and hung from the wall. I have a basement studio which is drywalled and has an acoustical ceiling. The basement is dry, and I use a de-humidifier to keep the humidity around 50-60%. Does anyone have information with regard to keeping electric and acoustic guitars out on dislpay in such an environment for indefinite periods of time? Thank you. Wickerman
From what I've always heard, it's better to keep guitars hung from wall mounted hangers than on floor stands. I have a friend who stores five guitars (three electrics, an acoustics and a mandolin) on wall hooks and he's never had a problem. The hooks he uses are drilled strait into studs, about three or four feet apart and have a lock that comes around the front of the neck to hold them from being knocked off.
