gonz0
I've heard that you can use a cheap MIDI footswitch to change channels on the POD, rather than either of Line6's pedals. Is this true? If so is there one someone can recommend?
Guitarzan
it is true, you can use many brands, one guy i know uses a yamaha one and i heard good things about the behringer fbc1010, check it out on harmony centrals user reviews. there is one guy there with some info. i am curious also obout using something other than the line 6 one. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
gonz0
I'm just looking for the cheapest thing I can find for simply switching channels on my POD when I play live. $75 for Line6's switch pedal seems a bit pricey for all that it does.... jaybee
all midi pedals (can) do the same thing (almost), and since changing channels is the most basic use, I'm sure you can't go wrong with a cheap one. Just check out if you wouldn't be better of with a slightly more expensive pedal that has some extra options you might want to use in the future (but maybe haven't even thought of yet) once you are accustomed to using it just for channel switching - talk to other musicians who use one, go to a store that has personnel that knows what they are talking about and who can explain exactly what a certain pedal does or does not do... happy switching *S*
