Nollykin
www.bcrich.com Heh. I just saw a couple of guys play some B.C Riches live. Warlocks. Not sure the model - one was a bronze edition. the other may have been acrylic bodied. The guitars looked awesome - They all look good from looking at the site - but are they just looks? or do they actually play well? Tedster
B.C. Rich had the going thing about 15-20 years ago. They were great guitars...the designs kinda went out with the hair band, though. Doesn't mean they weren't nice guitars. However...I've seen several of those fluorescent green acrylic ones at the Musicians' Friend "Scratch and Dent" Warehouse showroom here in Kansas City. Every single one of 'em had the headstock busted off. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

Guitr777
I used to have a BC Rich Bich. It was a beautifully crafted guitar. It was birdseye curly maple, so it had the 3-d effect thing going on in the finish. It was also a very playable guitar. However - I'm not sure why, but it was my least fav guitar in terms of tone. Most of the time I played a $100.00 Cort during my performances because the tone (or timbre) was much better for my purposes. I can best describe the sound as 'tinny'. I may have been able to address this with EQ or effects, but I was very unknowledgable about such things then. I'm not sure how the Warlocks fair. I always thought they were pretty cool looking. Nollykin
Yeah - they do. Those 'virgin's look pretty cool too. But I'm not looking to get one - im broke from my ibanez and I cant play it yet. I just wondered if they were any good. curiosity never killed anyone but the stupid freakin cat... Gabriel E.
The original B.C. Rich guitars made in New Jersey in the 1970s and 1980s were very good guitars. Definitely built for metal playing but still nice. In the mid 80s they started importing cheopo versions of their models. Most of these imports were ok for cheapo guitars. I've tryed some of the newer imported models and they all sucked. The acrylic ones look cool but weigh 15+lbs. So if you see a US-made one, it's a nice guitar. Kraig99
Their Beast models look awesome. I almost bought one, but went for a Dean 7 string instead. It was a sweet deal and plays well. Craigster
Wickerman
B.C. Rich makes some silly body style but they sound and play great. I almost got a neck thru Mockingbird. Beautiful guitar. Fairly normal body style, quilted maple body, neck through, great neck, amazing clean tone and typical B.C. Rich crunchy, chunk. They also make some fairly normal body styles which sound great and aren't so embarrasing to wear!
Nollykin
Embarrasing to wear? Naaaah! I'd be proud to wear one of these: http://www.bcrich.com/guitars/nj/virgin/nj_virgin.jpg Awesome looking guitar - if it plays well - I'd think about buying one in the future. But thats a looooong way away Oh well - at least I have a goal now.
