9-volt adapters & pedal boards

What's the best option for avoiding keeping a pocket full of 9 volt batteries to replace the dead ones? I use 2-5 pedals, but haven't gotten a board for them all yet. Should I just go with a prefab board that has 9-volt taps? What's a good one to consider buying?

For a good cheap 5-output 9v supply, check out the Signal-Flex PS-9. (A Google search will show you some dealers. They were hard to find when I got mine.) About $40. I guess it's not as good as a Voodoo Labs, but those go for $150 or so. My setup is a little noisy, but I don't know if it's the power, or just time to get some real bypass switches.

SKB makes a couple of models of pedalboard with integrated power. Never tried one, but they didn't look tough enough for me. I ended up with an excellent but expensive anvil-style board/case from NGM , and popping the Signal-Flex in there.

Harmony-Central (one of the best sites on the web) has user reviews of everything. You might check there for some more ideas.

Just want to chime in to say I have a SignalFlex PS9 power supply and I'm really happy with it. I have it powering 5 effects...it's plenty quiet...the only noise I get in my chain is a slight hum from my old Twin but it's just always been kinda noisy on it's own. I bought my SignalFlex PS9 from http://www.music123.com/ ...I'm pretty sure they still sell it.
