I believe I've found the ultimate tuner. The Fender PT-10 Pedal Tuner. The unit is very solid metal that can be used inline. It can be stomped on, has great, bright LEDs that can be seen in the dark. It has your choice of two outputs that you can pick. One output shuts off the signal when you step on the pedal. The other allows you to remain inline when its' stepped on. It automatically senses what string you're on and detects whatever key you're tuning to, so if you're tuning to an Eb, it senses that. It's amazing how little things like this can make someone so happy. All this for $49! ( I really don't work for Fender)

I concur. The PT-10 stompbox is great. It fades between the LEDs giving you more accurate response than the Boss and has quite fast reaction. Not instant but close. Much faster than most stompbox tuners. It's a nice little box. The stomp area itself is plastic but the thing won't break. I've stomped on that with all my weight (accidentally) and it's fine.
