Yep, my Tele got here yesterday. As promised, it's pristine, except for a few small scratches by the jack. It plays very nice, and the neck in nice and straight. Now, I noticed the saddles are really high, and the action is just a touch higher than I'm used to, so I tried to bring it down, but the strings won't hear of it. Any lowering and the strings start to deaden above the 12th fret. Like I said, the neck is poker straight, so it dosn't appear to need adjustment. I can live with the action the way it is, but I'd rather have the action match my Strat. Does anyone know if this is typical with Teles vs. Strats, that Tele action tends to be higher? Or maybe I should have a tech atke a look at it? Well, anyway, it still plays pretty great, maybe I just have an exceptional Strat. The best thing about it is how it sounds clean. My Strat tends to start to overdrive even at the slightest hint of volume on my amp, but the Tele stays nice and clean approaching the half way point. I think this guitar will be a very nice compliment to the Strat!

Ok, that's off my chest.

I really don't know what to put here.

Man. I love teles. I got an LRS roller nut on mine after having problems with my wound-g sticking in the nut and having some buzz when in open G tuning. I put the roller nut on, lowered the action and it's amazing! The think can play everything from blues to jazz to metal-core. My SG breaks up through my amp's clean channel fairly quick but the tele stays pristinely clean all the way up. It's a sweet little guitar. Hope you're happy with yours.

About the action, you may want to try raising the nut or getting a roller nut. I haven't had any problems with open string buzzing or dead notes since replacing my nut.
