Hey all-

Taking a break here for a few days-it's about 85 degrees and beautiful out-we're at the end of the dry season. Might get into some scuba diving tomorrow.

This country is a blast, but you do have to watch yourself-mess up here and they'll find you in a field

somewhere. As some of you may know, there's a group of guitar makers across the bay, who make some very fine sounding and inexpensive acoustics. I tried to get one back home once before but it was during Christmas break. Between the hot season here and Christmas time in Japan, it pretty much torpedoed the guitar. this time I'm hoping to get the timing better, even bought a little humidifier. Wish me luck...

Have a great time. I spent time at Subic Bay, Olongapo, Luzon. Quite a distance from where you are. I never made it to Cebu City.

There were some really nice acoustic instruments made back then. I'm sure they've gotten better.

Good luck in getting them home.

Hi daklander

Ya, the instruments are definitely nice-and it's even better that the prices are flexible. I wish America offered more chances to bargain-it's how most of the world does business. 'No-haggle' prices are good ways to stunt your growth.
