I joined a site a few months ago called guitaralliance.com. It's pretty cool, lots of theory and exersises, beginner to advanced, and a cool thing called riff-o-matic that gives the tabs and playing examples of a bunch of rock songs. It's a pay site, but it was worth every penny, IMO.

as far as chords go, learning them is good at www.cyberfret.com

 

but Im not sure of others.
