Dylan
Musicians Friend is blowing these out @ $500. Anyone use this amp? I'm currently using a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and am looking to upgrade to something else.
Sylver
I have a Hot Rod Deluxe too, and I think it's a great amp. I'm not sure the Reverand is much of an upgrade, but I wouldn't ming have one of those too. Wish I could spring for the $500! I really don't know what to put here. Wickerman
The Reverend is quite an upgrade from a Fender Hot Rod. The "Heck"hound has a comparable clean channel but the dirty blows Fender out of the water. The Hellhound is much warmer and sounds quite a bit better to my ear. An even better deal yet it a Carvin Nomad. ( Carvin.com ) It's got good clean (better once you replace the preamp tubes) and the best overdrive I've heard out of any amp under $1000. It's got really great overdrive but can also get gain sufficient for Metallica covers if you so wish. It's a great, versatile little amp. 50 watts, 5 12AX7s, 4 EL84s, spring reverb, free footswitch, independent channel EQ, 2 ext cab out, efx loop and OHM selector. You can get a 2x12 version for $585 shipped or a 1x12 for $520 shipped.
