Footpedal To Trigger Sampler

Beatheavy

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to find a way to trigger samples from an Akai s5000.

My band has no keyboard player and my drummer is overwhelmed with the responsibility of triggering up to 10 seperate events in one song.

So i'd like to help him out.

Can anyone suggest a midi foot controller to use.

Would an Rocktron All Access work.

I use the All access w/ a Boogie Triaxis and a replefex.

Thanx alot :thu:

ATOMIX!

How 'bout a Roland OctaPad? It's not a footswitch, but it looks much cooler than any footswitch AND it'll send out MIDI "note on" messages all day long. It's always fun to whack stuff with a stick! :) Also, I know there are some MIDI triggers out there (Fatar might've made 'em at one point?) that are set up like an old Taurus pedal...kinda like the bass pedals on organs...they're like a piano keyboard for your feet. I'm not sure a MIDI foot controller like yours can be configured to send "note on" messages. They're usually just meant to send patch change info (I think). I have an old ART MIDI footswitch and I'm pretty sure it won't trigger notes. Let us know if you find anything...
None more black.
