Does anyone have info on the guitar tones of Neil Young with Crazy Horse?

This week I have been playing Neil Young/Crazy Horse "EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS IS NOWHERE" album like it is going out of style. I was particularly interested in what guitars/amps/pick-ups/any info you got really- that were used in "Cowgirl in the Sand." Particularly, the lead guitar, man, you talk about a great rock and roll tone. I love it. Whew! I'm getting all tingly just talking about it. It's funny because I can't even tell if it's a Les Paul or a Strat. I'm usually a little better at hearing that major difference. I think they're using Marshalls, though. What do you guys think?

Neil Young is well known for his use of Gretsches as well. Him and Steve Stills both sported Gretsches when I saw 'em here in KC two years ago. Big hollowbody ones, like White Falcons...

Thanks a lot guys.

One question. What's a Bigsby? And the P-90s can I put those in a strat? Atleast on the bridge or something? And definitely check out that album. Very authentic, honest stuff. I love it like a mother, but it took a half a minute to grow on me. Thanks again.

It's a big, ungainly, but retro cool vibrato. Here's a picture of one on an Ibanez Talman...

Thanks Tedster.

He used it a lot on the song I mentioned, "Cowgirl in the Sand." Does it make your guitar go out of tune right after you use it like the Strat's wammy?
